Germany and Italy A Sustainable Society
In Italy the goernment has went to the policy of bribing couples to ease up babies. In 2003 Roberto Maroni, the labour and welfare minister in Silvio Berlusconis administration, offered curtilage euros to every woman who had a second tyke. Rocco Falivena, the mayor of Laviano, says that the governments 1000 euro bonus is a emblematical amount, not enough to encourage more women to reserve more children. In a bid to use fiscal incentives to increase the birth rate in his own town, he decided last year to offer women 10,000 euros over a five year period for each excess baby they have.
Germanys birthrate is too low to take hold its current population levels, and this is going to cause increasing problems for it. virtually Germans have many reasons for not having a child-
1. A child would be too much of a financial burden.
2. Im still too young for that.
3. My career plans would be hard to fulfill with a child.
4. Havent set in motion the right partner.
The new Minister for Families, Ursula von der Leyen, a woman who has 7 children herself, thinks the answer is to shower more m championy on Germans who have children, this time in the form of more tax breaks and parent-money which adds to the child-money Germans already get.

In my opinion the policies that they have for financial incentives are helping them out instanter. If they could do more with the incentives they allow help there population grow. I think just about Germans and Italians are using those incentives to have more children. Right now the big problem is that it is a recession and no one wants to have children that they cant afford.
