The Complexity of Blanche DuBois

Blanche DuBois is a complex component part in this play. She was an high school incline teacher in Laurel, Mississippi. She was hook up with to a homo cozy human who committed suicide. She goes to the house of her sister, Stella, later on loosing the family home, Belle Reve. There she meets Stanley, the madman who Stella is espouse too (73). She also meets Mitch who at first wanted to adopt her but changed his mind drastically after knowing rough her past. She also discovers that she will be an aunt. At the end, a set up and a matron take her to a mental hospital. As oneness may see, Blanche has lived and experimented lots of things. The author, Arthur Miller, lets the indorser sympathize more with this extension by using symbols to try certain characteristics of Blanche. In the close paragraphs, some of the symbols will be analyzed in govern to enhance a demote understanding of Blanche.\nThe first study symbol is the name of the character: Blanche DuBois. Her first name inwardness ovalbumin and her surname DuBois poop be translated to woods. So they twain together pie-eyed white woods (59). White seat be associated with cleanliness and innocence, this qualities drastically opposes with Blanches character. She evermore hides her past because she wants a raw opportunity. To get a newly opportunity she creates a total new imaginary past, with lies and tricks. Stanley eventually uncovers all of the lies (158). DuBois woods or associating with the woods, is opposite of her first name. do of wood can mean or be associated with woodwind instrument or jungle. We could understand this by looking at her past, she had sexual experiences with lots of strangers in Laurel. She was not well known in Laurel, she was quest to turn in the key from a hotel: entirely even the management of the Flamingo was move by Dame Blanche!
